Our History

The Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ is a continuation of the great revival that began on the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem, A.D. 30, and is founded upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the Chief cornerstone, (Acts 2:1-41; Ephesians 2:19, 20).

Various groups throughout the United States of America went by different names trying and striving to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Finally in the month of March, 1952, three groups known as the Assemblies of the Church of Jesus Christ, Jesus Only Apostolic Church of God, and the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, formulated a merger adopting the name Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is Apostolic in Doctrine and Teachings, and the Bible as their guide book.

On March 16, 1999 an ALJC missionary from USA by the name of Rev. RB Bingham made a missionary tour in the Philippines at the request of Rev. Manuel Blanca and met with a group of independent Oneness Apostolic preachers and a group who happen to have a SEC registered organization named as Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ Philippines Incorporated(ALJCPI) with Certificate of Registration No: E199700601 issued July 28,1997 to discuss plans of ALJC USA to unify independent churches and pastors into one solid organization under the umbrella of ALJC USA. This resulted into reorganization of ALJC Philippines Incorporated as Foreign Missionary District of ALJC USA and the election of RB Bingham as its new General Superintendent. Since then the work expanded to the Island of Negros Occidental, Panay, Leyte, Samar and Metro Manila.

On May 13, 2006 Rev. ML Walls succeeded to the position of General Superintendent and brought about further expansion of churches and affiliation of pastors and ministers coming from Mindanao, Negros Oriental, Mindoro and Northern & Southern Luzon.

During the annual General Conference of the members of the organization dated April 18 , 2009 held at Upper Bicutan, Taguig, Metro Manila with Rev. ML Walls, Rev. Robert Martin and Rev. RB Bingham present, Rev. Mark Naimy was elected to the position of the General Superintendent . Presently, the Headquarters of the organization is located at Overflow Village, Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, Philippines and has a current membership of 113 ministers holding license.
